Doe Mountain is a BEAUTIFUL part of our county! I was so excited to get to go up to the Firetower and climb to see a large majority of the county from so high up. This is a great spot to hike on some trails, ATV through our mountains or my favorite – grab a horse and off you go! I’m looking forward to going back again soon!

Doe Mountain is a Kool place to ride…ATV..SIDE X SIDE…..DIRT BIKE….OR whatever you ride….not too far from Charlotte and not too expensive for just a day trip….trails are easy to intermediate and a few difficult……
RIDE SAFE !!!!!!!

Chimney Rock Overlook is a short, uphill, intermediate level walk that is rewarded by breathtaking views of Roan Creek Valley and beyond towards Asheville!

The Kettlefoot Fire Tower stands atop Doe Mountain at 3,889” elevation. The 60’ tower has 96 steps to the cab. Breathtaking views into Tennessee and North Carolina reward those who venture to the top!
